THE COUNTER ARGUMENT Besides `zz there are additional Hebrew words for
strong, strength, might etc. for example: (6099) `atsuwm; passive participle
of '`atsam' (BTW initial letter is `ayn) (6105); powerful (specifically, a
paw); by implication, numerous:--+ great, mighty, must, strong. (6106) `etsem
from '`atsam' (6105); a bone (as strong); by extension, the body;
figuratively, the substance, i.e. (as pron.) selfsame:--body, bone, X life,
(self-)same, strength, X very. See BDB p.782 # 6099

Here, the meaning of 'STRONG' is found in the following verses : Jos 23:9,
Prov 7:26, Isa 8:7, Isa 53:12, Isa 60:22, Joel 1:6, Joel 2:2, Joel 2:5, Joel
2:11, Micah 4:3, Micah 4:7, Zech 8:22 EXAMPLES: Jos 23:9 For the LORD hath
driven out from before you great nations and STRONG: but [as for] you, no man
hath been able to stand1 before you unto this day. Prov 7:26 For she hath

river, STRONG and many, [even] the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he
shall come up1 over all his channels, and go over1 all his banks: Isa 60:22 A
little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a STRONG nation: the LORD
will hasten it in his time. Joel 1:6 For a nation is come up upon my land,
STRONG and without number, whose teeth [are] the teeth of a lion, and he hath
the cheek teeth of a great lion. A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day
of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon themountains: a
great people and a STRONG; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall
be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations. Joel 2:5 Like
the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the
noise of a flame of fire thatdevoureth the stubble, as a STRONG people set in
battle array. Joel 2:2 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army:
for his camp [is] very great: for [he is] STRONG that executeth his word: for
the day of the LORD [is] great and very terrible; and who can abide55 it?
Micah 4:3, And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke STRONG nations
afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears
into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither
shall they learn war any more. Micah 4:7, And I will make1 her that halted a
remnant, and her that was cast far off a STRONG nation: and the LORD
shallreign1 over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. Zech 8:22
