This is another verse where not only the points as assigned by the Masoretes
appear wrong, but that they also inspired an incorrect ketib/qere pair.
תמת ישׁרים תנחם וסלף בוגדים ושׁדם
The first half: “the perfection of the upright comforts” which sentence as a
whole serves as the subject of the two participles “bending the ones who
deal underhandedly out of shape, also doing them violence.”
Does thus make sense to you all?
