Dear Gary,

While doing some Th.M work years ago in a class called "OT Themes in the NT,"
I
chose this topic especially as it is related to Jn 8:58. The conclusion is
that
it is primarily Isaiah that lies behind the statement in Jn 8:58 especially in
chapters 40-66. It is the LXX use of EGO EIMI that translates the Hebrew 'ANI
HU, ANOKI, etc.

Rev. Bryant J. Williams III

on
this topic. So I need a little expert help to sort out fact from fiction.
