For the reasons that you mentioned I was anticipating that B-Hebrew would be
similar to B-Greek. After seeing a lot of the posts, however, I went back to
the home page to see what the rules are, and I really didn't see any rules
and guidelines of the type that you see on the B-Greek home page. Therefore
I don't really know what the intent is here and I would be interested in
knowing. I'm not trying to suggest that anything should be changed here, I'm
just wondering if there is more information about the kind of posts that the
list owners desire to have for this list.

In the meantime I'll also check out the other list that you mentioned.

Thanks!

Eric Inman

I don't know why in the course of this discussion no one changed the
subject, as per normative online etiquette. I think that B-Hebrew was
supposed to be something like B-Greek. Isn't that why they bear kinda
the same names and follow each other from server to server?

If you're interested in an online study list, perhaps Berel Beyer's
"Hebrew Self-Study" group would interest you. There, people freely ask
questions related only to the Hebrew language (both Biblical and
Modern, depending on the question), and they get answers that have
nothing to do with all the conjecture and personal speculation, except
in so far as it directly relates to understanding the language.

You could also join a study group or work through a text with someone.
Quite different from B-Hebrew, but each list has its focus.

The URL for the site is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/selfstudyhebrew/

Best of luck. Let me know if I've been of any help.

Yours,
Jason Hare
