Shoshanna:
I have been in discussions with people of many different faiths within
Judaism and Christianity. I found it interesting to watch differences
between liberal and orthodox Jews, where liberal Jews used the exact
same arguments against orthodox Jews as liberal "Christians" use
against orthodox Christians, and the responses from the orthodox also
was the same in both groups. The biggest difference between orthodox
Christians and orthodox Jews is more like the difference between
orthodox Christians and Roman Catholics. This is just my experience.

If you are talking about world views of people, I don't agree at all.
There is a huge huge world of difference between orthodox Jews and
orthodox or any, Christians - - and not between orthodox Jews and
"non observant" Jews.
Actually, it is more nuanced than that.
I think there is a greater difference between "non-religious" Jews and
orthodox Jews, than there is between orthodox Jews and orthodox (small
"o") Christians. Further, there is more similarity among liberal
(Reformed) Jews and liberal "Christians" than among orthodox and
liberal Christian or Jews. Actually, orthodox Judaism is more like
traditional Roman Catholicism (the original liberal "Christianity") in
that they both take tradition as having equal authority to Scripture.
There are more differences than these, but there are a lot more
threads than the simplistic statements below say.
