)$$ is used only once in Tanakh, in Hitpael, any
clues from cognate languages as to its meaning?
Other words from the same root include )$Y$H
(feminine noun) which most seem to say is a raisin
cake, or similar type sweet cake and )$Y$
(masculine noun, used only twice both times plural)
seem to refer to vines that climb walls. Neither
seem to be connected to the action in Isaiah 46:8,
unless possibly it is connected with the idea of
pulling oneself up.
