After recent discussions I have been reading the hebrew bible in a new light and have been trying to analyse things from a point of view with no prior assumptions. This has led me to call into question my understanding of yhwh's messengers. I have been reading through Genesis and have noted that there is nothing that supports the view that these messengers are superior heavenly creatures and could equally be understood as being godly men bearing a message from yah.

All thoughts on this will be welcomed!

So, how do you explain Genesis 22:11,15, 28:12 (angels in heaven), Exodus 3:2 (fire-resistant human?), Numbers 22:31 (invisible), Judges 6:21, 13:20 (disappears, ascends in flame), 2 Kings 19:35 (how could one man kill so many in one night?), Psalm 103:20, 148:2 (contexts of heavenly beings), Job 4:18 (contrasted with humans), etc etc?
