- Subject: [b-hebrew] Solomon's palace in 1 Kings 7:1-8
- Date: Wed, 25 Feb 2004 22:52:07 +0300
Dear all,
Hebrew scholars please assist me. I am interested in having a mental picture
of Solomon's palace as described
in 1 Kings 7:1-8. BHS uses the words "bait" and "ulam" such that I am unable
to tell their relationship in this context. Was the palace made up of
separate houses or it consisted of one
huge complex structure with several rooms? If this houses were separate,
how many were they in total? And if it consisted of several rooms within one
building, how many were these rooms?
