In Genesis 1:26 the word for God is Elohim. Psalm 8 in commenting in
general on this verse uses the same word Elohim and it is translated
angels.

In Genesis 1:1 the structure of the Hebrew to my understanding is 'in
beginning Elohim, he created' This is expanded on in the next verse where
it says the Spirit of Elohim moved or pondered over the waters. This Spirit
of Elohim, the Spirit is described in Genesis 2 as Yahweh where the name is
first used. Yahweh Elohim, or 'He who will be in Mighty ones' This is as
BDB tends to translate the meaning of Yahweh.
