In Arabic yam-us-suf means: Sea of wool. There is a particular coral plant,
that I have in mind, that looks like wool and most probably grows in the Red
sea, otherwise referred to as suf-al-bahar (wool of the sea). Reference:
Lisan Al-Arab Vol 7 p.444. Anybody gone for scuba diving in the Red Sea?
