sorry, i wasn't clear enough. James D. Price, the older work, The Syntax
of Masoretic Accents in the Hebrew Bible, Part II, the three books of
poetry, pp.171ff, "The Law of Continuous Dichotomy": main point on the
status of primary divisions.
I have established that for any verse, regardless of accent marking the
first split, there are two units marked by major pause: hence, a very
basic dichotomy. in poetry, with both oleh-weyored and athnach, i can
show only the oleh-weyored shows major pause vs athnach: dichotomy
confirmed.
so i'm interested in the case made by Price, and any attempt at
engagement.
