re Ian's question - Mehsah Stela, late ninth century, mentions Yahweh's
name without consort. Now, he was only a Moabite, poor king, and simply
could have been ignorant.
Interestingly, among the large number of theophoric extra-biblical PNs
from pre-exilic times, no single female deity was mentioned in
conjunction with Yahweh. Furthermore, about 90% are Yahwistic.
As for the KA and Ch. el-Qum important finds, there is a clear
pronominal suffix attached the word asherah, in both locations, which
makes it doubtful that the name of the lady involved is that of a
divinity, rather than of a holy wooden pole.
That in itself is in clear violation of pure Yahwism.
