Or could it perhaps be a tent-city leaving no solid traces, like the
city recently discussed mentioned in Assyrian inscriptions so many
centuries before the earliest archaeological traces?

whether a ruin or a still thrieving and inhabited place. So you cannot
really use this kind of material for dating except as a terminus a quo.
