- Subject: exceptions prove a rule, pausal forms

as indicated, working on fullblown study of pausal phonology, using a
variety of diagnostics. working through the use of ki (the key to
pausal phonology---get it?).
here's a *partial* list of exceptions, where pause fails where
completely expected.
fails (ab:d.:kf (1C 21:8 = 2S 24:10)
fails til.fx:amw. (dt 1:42)
)al-t.iyr:)iy (gen 35:17)
also, isaiah 1:20, 25:1, 29:11
this is not the kind of thing they'd make up; presumably there's some
linguistic /prosodic reality involved. this stuff fascinates me. makes
me wonder how you could transmit such knowledge.
