yes, an english 'meanwhile' at rut 4.1 w/could be past perfect, returning
to the time of ruth's going off to the city.
since we were talking about gen 4.1 and i don't have time to list the
ubiquitous X-Qatal in the Bible I thought of a quick limited, slash and
cite method based on numbers. (the pun was four + one = fun)
the point of course, is that the pluperfect paragraph 'rule' some have
cited is not a 'rule'. x-qatal is more flexible. no one seems to have
commented on the sequential use within a paragraph, though, i.e. dramatic
pause.
