I can't help wondering: As for singling out Enuma Elish for discussion
here, this may simply be the literary polytheistic creation narrative
best known to modern scholars. Perhaps there was another work, now lost
(or how about the Assyrian fragments someone recently referred to?),
which was even more closely related to Genesis. This is my reply to
whoever originally wrote: "There can be little doubt that Genesis is
written - in part - as a response to the Enuma Elish."
