Dear Rolf,
YIQTOLS IN EZEK. 1
v. 9 YiSaBu - iterative
YeLeKu - iterative
v. 12 four yiqtols, all iterative
v. 13 note the three participles that describe
continual actions (not iterative)
v.16 YiHYeh is very interesting. The clause does not
say "their appearance and workmanship *was* a
wheel within a wheel" (Ka'sSheR would be
unnecessary). Neither does it say "their
workmanship was *like a wheel* within a wheel"
(YiHYeH would be unnecessary, see Ke`eYN at the
beginning of the verse for this parallel). It says "their
appearance and their workmanship was like what
might be a wheel within a wheel." or "like when
a wheel would be within a wheel." Thus YiHYeH is
hypothetical, or irrealis.
v.17 two iterative yiqtols
v. 19 two iterative yiqtols
v. 20 three iterative yiqtols
v. 21 three iterative yiqtols
v. 28 YiHYeH is iterative "like the bow which comes
in the cloud"
EZEKIEL 10
v. 10 YiHYeH is identical to v.16 above
v. 11 five iterative yiqtols
v. 16 two iterative yiqtols
v. 17 two iterative yiqtols
v. 22 YeLeKu iterative yiqtol
