Hi All!

and now for a Yoga in English update:

I will be guest teaching at Yoga Raum Berlin in English on the following dates:

Yoga in English
February 8 and March 1, 18:15-19:45
YogaRaum Berlin an der Oberbaumbrücke, Kreuzberg

AND I will start a new Yoga class on March 10th:

at The Center in Prenzlauerberg,
Wednesday evenings 7:30-9:00 pm.

Class Description: A dynamic, toning and relaxing yoga class in English. Sun salutations, standing poses and hand balances build muscle strength and get the body heated up so that muscles and mind can open up and relax deeply through stretches in the second half of the class. This is an opportunity to receive all the benefits of yoga- a stronger, more balanced and pain-free body and a calmer, more concentrated mind- in a friendly and playful atmosphere. This class is suitable for anyone who understands English well and wants to feel even better in both body and mind. Come by and enjoy being part of our international English-speaking community!

For more information or to sign up for the class, call 030 400 48 440 or email info@thecenter-berlin.de. You can also drop in anytime for 15 Euros.

FieldDay #1

FieldDay #1 is a non-curated performance/exhibition opportunity for artists to showcase and receive feedback on their work. It’s also a great way to get to know the Fieldwork feedback method and how it can serve your creative work.

14. March, 2010

Workshop 11:00

Public Performance 19:00

schwelle7

Uferstr. 6, 13357, Berlin-Wedding

www.schwelle7.de

FieldDay #1 includes:

1) a chance to show your work, with technical support

2) an introduction to the Fieldwork method

3) an opportunity to receive feedback on your work from other participants and the audience

Fieldwork is a system which artists to get feedback on their creative work in a rigorous and supportive environment.  The Fieldwork structure reveals how each piece is perceived by others and provides detailed information that helps participants hone their vision. By focusing discussions on what’s happening in the work and how those choices shape the work, the Fieldwork method honors the authorship of each artist.

• Gain new insight into your artwork

• Hone your critical perception
• Show your work!

Participating artists receive a performance/exhibition slot with technical support, and training in the Field feedback method. Writers, visual and video artists, musicians, and performing artists are all welcome. If you are unsure how your work would function in the space (for example, if you would like to bring a large installation) just contact thefieldberlin@gmail.com to discuss details.  All artistic disciplines and aesthetic viewpoints are welcome and encouraged.

Participation: 20 Euros.

You may show work in the formal performance, informally within the workshop, or participate in the workshop and learn the feedback method without showing work.  The public performance is free/donations accepted and will be publicized by The Field Berlin.

Fieldwork is carried out in German and English according to the needs of each group.

For more information contact facilitator Rachel Brooker at thefieldberlin@gmail.com, or visit The Field Berlin website.
