November 6th- November 20th- Release Technique BREAK-- NO CLASSES!

RELEASE TECHNIQUE with MARIA FRANCESCA SCARONI

Every Tuesdays and Thursdays 12.15 –13.45

From the 21st of November to the 21st of December

K77 STUDIOS -  Kastanienallee 77

We begin the class by energizing the whole system, injecting some heat and gently tuning in the senses both inward and outward, actively meditating on breath and energy circulation. Central is the work on the floor: on the spot are the various relationships between center and periphery, and tools are given to fluently go through, in and out of the floor, changing levels and speeds, expanding the range of mechanics the body can become aware of. Through simple phrases and movement explorations we travel through space, using the center/periphery connections to find flow, momentum and surprising dynamics, seeking orientation and directionality, and wildness at the same time. We end with a set phrase of choreography, to finally enjoy the interplay between inner connectivity and outer expressivity of the body: choreography is an invitation to find the set of connections that make sense for each body to feel as a site of pleasure and vitality.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Maria Francesca Scaroni studies in Italy with the choreographer Manuela Bondavalli (1998/2004), who coaches her in teaching Release Technique for adults and creative dance for children, combining principles from Klein and Alexander Technique and sourcing from various Laban Studies. Since 2004 she collaborates with Jess Curtis/Gravity (Berlin/San Francisco), teaching Release Technique and Contact Improvisation in international festivals.

"life" ausgestaltet.

Konzept: Felix Ruckert
Tanz und Musik: Matthieu Burner, Felix Ruckert
Tanz und Video: Rachel Brooker,  Dasniya Sommer
Bühne und Licht Design: Roger Irman
Ton: Stefan Templer
Produktion: Isabelle Fuchs
