The AIfIA newsletter is published every other week
(pretty much) and features news about what's new with
AIfIA and with our partner sites.
So let's get to the news!
---- WHAT'S NEW WITH AIFIA -- http://www.aifia.org ----

-- BOXES AND ARROWS -- http://www.boxesandarrows.com/
Two good recent Boxes and Arrows articles:
1) Report Review: Nielsen/Norman Group's Usability
Return on Investment
In the business world, user experience endeavors are
typically seen as a cost -- a line item expense to be
minimized to the greatest extent possible while still
remaining competitive. This has led to a number of
essays, articles, and books on proving the value of
user experience, including a recent report by the
Nielsen Norman Group.

2) Web Traffic Analytics and User Experience
As a specialist in the user, you gain knowledge through
observation and direct questioning of individual users.
Now, you can add to that insights gained from data
pulled during their actions on the site. By looking at
this information, you will get a fuller picture of user
behavior, not in a lab, but in the true user
environment.

An oldie-but-goodie from the ACIA:
An interview with Peter Bogaards
Our field hasn't avoided the vicious grasp of
information overload, but thanks to people like Peter
Bogaards, we stand a fighting chance of keeping up.
Peter's blog InfoDesign is a staple for information
designers and information architects alike. Speaking of
which: what's the difference between these two fields?
Peter has a different take than we normally hear on
this side of the pond.
