[permaculture] Carbon that Counts

G'day Alan,

Well for a lot of people this is news to them and though many might find
that surprising that's the reality. The other thing its telling us is that
in the dryland pastoral zone we can produce cereal crops that are comparable
in yield to the regional averages/ha and do this whilst increasing the
recruitment of perennial native grasses and forbs: which is a remarkable
achievement and one that had the ancients cracked the same code we wouldn't
have many of the deserts we now have as an outcome of previous cultivated
production systems....Asides I like farmer-based active research where
people are doing this stuff on real properties with real risks and getting
great outcomes....

Why do you ask?

All the best,

Darren
