PERMACULTURE DESIGN COURSE - UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT SUMMER PROGRAM
August 11-24
3 CREDITS
ENVS 195 / PSS 195
COURSE FEE:  $461.25 (plus tuition)

Course Description:

Two weeks of travel, adventure, learning, camping, swimming, local foods,
and fun while exploring our regions most progressive agriculture, ecological
designs, and abundant landscapes. Students will visit farms, homesteads,
orchards, and eco-villages while rolling through the valleys and rivers of
Vermont and New Hampshire. Learning will be place-based and hands-on. The
course includes all core topics of the Permaculture Design Certificate
Curriculum including: site analysis and master planning, regenerative
agriculture, agroforestry, natural building, community design, water
management, climate adaptation, alternative energies, economies,
technologies, and much more.  Students will be awarded a Permaculture Design
Certificate upon completion of the course and be awarded 3 UVM credits for
either ENVS 195 or PSS 195 (credits are most likely transferable to other
universities).
