Advanced Compost Class Series
Three Wednesday evenings: October 15, 22 and 29, from 6-8pm
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, 615 Willow Ave, Ithaca
Cost: $30 for a 3-class series
This three-part class series is for gardeners, educators or others who want to go beyond the basics of composting. Master Composter-level material will be presented in a shorter series, and without a requirement to volunteer. Participants will learn the biology, chemistry and physics behind the compost process, test and use compost in a variety of ways and know how to stop trouble (i.e. pests or smells) before it starts. Master Composters and guest presenters will teach some advanced applications of composting like capturing the heat generated, and making compost "tea." If you are someone with some compost experience, and wish to take your knowledge and practice to the next level, we hope you will join us. Cost is $30 for the three-class series. Call CCETC at (607) 272-2292 or email Mila Fournier ymf5 at cornell.edu<mailto:ymf5 at cornell.edu> for more information or to register.
