I have installed this iso on two systems (ide/pentium4 and scsi/opteron)
and both works like a charm. :-)
It is very nice because "sorcery update; scribe add stable-rc; sorcery
rebuild" fails only with rp-pppoe and lvm
(http://bugs.sourcemage.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14784).

Problem with vi (elvis) (*mount -t tmpfs tmpfs /var/tmp*) was already
fixed in git .

Some comments:

1)
First Welcome screen (after first Enter) contains @release@
Welcome to the SMGL @release@ install CD!

2)
It could be fine to have some short info about basic work with linux
console for new users (Alt-F1, Alt-F2, ... to switch to another console,
Shift-PageUp, PageDown to see previous messages).

3)
If this is official iso I would remove TODO comments (disk-partition
step, copy-base step (if BearPerson gets his lazy ass in gear, ....)).
Instead of disk-partition step's TODO I would mention: name of disk can
be determine by "dmesg | grep -i disk".

4)
optional kernel install:
Your cp -f ... are useless, make install and make modules_install is enough.

5)
install-opt-spells step
There is nothing yet so imho it should be removed, why make new users
even more confused.

6)
Last step, your several umounts are OK, but reboot or even
"Ctrl-Alt-Del" is enough.

7)
netconf does not work with our "new" networking, it doesn't edit
/etc/network/interfaces.
It should be updated or just removed from iso
(http://bugs.sourcemage.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10517).
Now it can be used only for hostname setting.

Imho, some default /etc/network/interfaces should be installed. Copy of
/usr/share/doc/ifupdown/examples/network-interfaces or just :
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

8)
Imho, install iso should install only basesystem (no g++, ...) so we
have minimal system and can do "sorcery rebuild" as quicky as possible,

9)
Still problem with /var/log/sorcery/activity log. It starts on 20070223.
It should start by date of installation.

10)
/etc/sourcemage-release contains "Source Mage GNU/Linux 0.10.0-test2".
It should be test4 or only 0.10.0. This file should contains also date
of installation.
For example from 0.9.6.3:
Source Mage GNU/Linux 0.9.6.3 i486-pc-linux-gnu
Installed from CD using installer v. 0.9.6.3 on Sat Apr 21 12:49:50 CEST
2007

11)
user adding:
Seems with this iso "useradd -m luser1" is enough. It creates
/home/luser1 and group luser1 automatically.

12)
/etc/sorcery/local/depends should be probably installed empty, now it
contains your settings.

13) Next ISO announcement should contains MD5 of both *.iso and *.iso.bz2.
So users can check ISO even after they bunzip2ed it.

14)
Can anybody create some html file which could be located on install iso,
with some short info about Source Mage and with links to wiki, bugs, dw,
... (http://bugs.sourcemage.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9204)?

15)
There should be some info that there are installed also some "useless"
spell (it depends) and they can be dispelled, for example madwifi and
ndiswrapper if users don't want wifi connections, xfsprogs and jfsutils
if only ext3 is used, ...

It would be fine if new 0.10.0 iso were released together/short after
0.26 stable grimoire (2008-10-15) with announcements on FM and DW
(http://distrowatch.com/sourcemage).
Thanks for really good work.
