Hi all,

I'm having an issue with mod_rewrite in Apache2 not working. I
selected the module during the cast and when it was finished
'apachectl -l' showed mod_rewrite as one of the compiled-in modules.

However, I have 'RewriteEngine On' in a .htaccess file which generates
the following error:

[Thu Feb 02 15:55:53 2006] [alert] [client xx.xx.xx.xx]
/usr/share/apache2/htdocs/some/path/.htaccess: Invalid command
'RewriteEngine', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not
included in the server configuration

I apologize for being an apache n00b, but could it be that the module
isn't enabled somehow? Is it something else I'm not doing correctly?

Thanks!
