This has been discussed several times on this list. In a nutshell:
It would be nice.
It would be a large modification to the scripts
Versioning has no standard. ie < is not a well defined symbol w.r.t.
versions.
What to do about several versions providing /sbin/foo.

The two last problems have solutions, although perhaps not elegant ;)
However, the changes necessary to properly add it in is large enough that I
think it would be better to wait until after The Great Rewrite (coming Real
Soon Now).
