Raw unpasteurized honey has many medicinal uses and it stays safe to eat
and use for thousands of years.
I have been eating some black poplar honey, my favorite, lately that has
been in storage for over eight years.
Thanks to pesticides, especially the neonicotinoid insecticide, there is
very little honey on grocery shelves these days
and almost none from local apiaries. What is available is very expensive,
too much so to be the typical household staple item of years past.
