Citrus like a lot of nitrogen, as well as acidic soil.  Fortunately, urine
provides both.  I feed all my citrus with urine from March to August, along
with a little compost (if I have it) and a good mulch of leaves.  As long as
the soil has a decent level of nutrients to begin with (as most compost
would), then your tree will probably be fine.  Citrus can be sensitive to low
levels of zinc and iron.  If the leaves become pale, saving menstrual blood
and semen can be a sustainable way of taking care of these deficiencies (love
your plant and it will love you back).

A flowering lemon should produce fruit if it is getting enough heat.  Placing
it in a spot protected from wind on a south-facing wall is the best location
in cooler climates.

The main problem my citrus have is with ants eating all the new growth and
young fruits.  The solution to this is to isolate the plant from anything
that could touch it and then apply Tanglefoot ooeygooey in a band around the
trunk.  Younger trees will need some tape on the bark first to keep the
Tanglefoot from killing the cambium layer.

Lemons are good,

Rain
