Could a Permaculture Virtual Reality system be created that would be linked
to a GIS
and supporting data storage and retreival systems that include wikis, blogs, galleries, video & audio and relational databases? Think of permaculture systems design using a tool like this; the ability to change input data during the course of designing a pc system and be able to experience it in a virtual reality display that can source still graphics, video, sound and text.

Walk a site with GIS equipment and laptop and camera. Design a permaculture
system for part or all of a tract
and input pertinent coordinates to a database ussing GIS, land features,
existing fauna and flora and extensive notes
taken while in the field and back in the office. Create overlays and look for patterns; revisit the site and reevaluate these patterns while making observations, taking notes and looking for others. Use the GIS/VR/Db to find even more and feed evaluations and observations back into the system. The VR could change display instantaneously in response to input data. What a tool for extended observation and pattern recognition, design synthesis and phenomena.

What about a GIS/Db/CAD/CAM system to use for permaculture site evaluation, planning, design and implementation. Such a system could output materials lists, measurements, elevations, procedural strategies, punchlists and followup maintenance.
