Permaculture Design Course in BELIZE

February 6-19, 2006
San Pedro Columbia, Toledo, Belize

Join us at Maya Mountain Research Farm, a family homestead on 70 acres of
tropical ecosystems with 7 acres of stacked polycultures and hundreds of
species of food, fiber, and medicinal plants. Learn the principles that make
ecosystems self-sustaining and apply them to your designs for integrated
homes and gardens, energy and water systems, thriving communities,
economies, and global political movements.

Applicable to both tropical and temperate climates, this certification
course will offer the full 72-hour permaculture curriculum, plus exposure to
Maya and other local cultures, birding, river swimming, examples of
eco-building, local cacao and coffee, and home-grown organic food.

Instructors: Toby Hemenway, Penny Livingston-Stark, and local guests.

Cost: $1200 includes indoor lodging and meals. $150 non-refundable deposit
due upon registration.
