Of course, also check out the series of booklets about home-scale, low-tech greywater systems by Art Ludwig of Oasis Designs. http://www.oasisdesign.net/

For any foul odors -try splashing Lacto bacilus around the area (a trick we learned from Gil Carandang, Author, Indigenous Micro-Organisms) -you can make it easily or purchase it at health food store (sold as rejuvalac).

Is this book available for sale anywhere?

Rejuvelac:
----------
Take a quantity of wheat berries and soak them in water overnight.
Next day slightly grind them in a food mill, grain mill, slowly in a blender,
etc.
Put ground berries in a large glass jar or crock and fill with water. Cover
top with cloth.
Let stand at room temperature until bubbling from carbonation has begun to
cease.
The liquid should now taste lemony with a little bite from carbonation.
Refrigerate and drink a glass before mealtime as probiotic. You can also make
this with millet but it does no work as well.

You can culture various seeds, ground up, by innoculating them with
Rejuvelac. This is called seed cheese.

All this is documented in any of Ann Wigmore's books and Bill Mollison's and
Sandor Ellix Katz's books on fermented foods.

The reason cats chew on blades of grass: grass is colonized by lactobacillus
and it helps their digestion.

Maybe you could take cut grass and ferment it in a vat of water; remove it
after bubbling begins to stop,
apply mix to greywater trap.
