Thanks Kirby (and others who have been/are in contact),

great ideas! Let me try and translate them into permaculture principles,
please comment:

Every element should have several functions, i.e. production plant and rain
water collection, spin off effect --> new business

Efficiency--> above leads to better exploitation of the of same area!
(stacking???)

Animal manure (human animals?) and other waste for energy production...
there is no waste... use within the system... (The workers would provide
some of the energy needed for the production process. Again every element
provides several functions: work and energy input.)

Waste water purification -- providing a service for the community, no waste
within the system... (not totally if we need to landfill heavy metals... can
we use them somehow? Create a business that changes them into unavailable
forms? through storage in plant/soil in low concentrations? was discussed
recently on this list. )

Landscaping around industry park could at least take care of pollution (air
and other) created within the system, maybe also provide fresh food for
cantines? (Quite an incentive not pollute the area too much!)

Social implications... how do they go along with the governing economic
system? Is it possible? Do you have examples?

Other principles which might need to be addressed: every function should be
provided by several elements... what would this mean? Ideas?

Working with guilts, put modules together and interlink... would this mean
to design a small unit of a number of businesses first and then bring
different units together? Are there examples for this?

Thank you this is very useful!

Rita
