Aloha,

-Johns suggested that we have a glossary of tech terms on the wiki. That
sounds like a QA task – Johns, are you willing? If not, I suggest that when
we communicate with the PIW list, and non-tech folks in general, that we word
things as simply as possible.

Are people complaining about unknown acronyms and abbreviations and so on?

dev site

is IMO much less typing (and reading) than

the version of the PIW site currently under active development

...once the shorthand is known, of course.

If there is a list of acronyms and abbreviations that people have asked to have clarified/defined/explained, I will start on a simple glossary on the wiki.
Otherwise I suggest that we carry on in appropriate shorthand and whenever someone asks for a clarification or definition, the person who used the abbreviation or acronym add it to the glossary ASAP.

Very brief comments on the documents:

Project Description or whatever it's called:

I would ditch the specific mention of TouchGraph as an intended client platform and give a general statement of our intentions to

a) enable a diversity of client applications to be developed by third parties, by providing a clean and solid API for client developers to use
b) provide some form of graphical/visual client, based on some available and suitably mature platform, as an eventual part of our project developent

The stages don't much match our actual reality thus far. Don't actually understand what this doc is for at this point, but if it should reflect reality, all this needs to be changed to match how and what we've actually done.

Whatever happened to those matching funds from Ibiblio?

Project plan:

Same as above, not in synch with reality, if to be presented to Threshold or others should be brought into synch with reality of project thus far.

The Deliverables could probably be condensed somewhat - don't think we need to give that much details.
Some are not going to be in 1.0 anyhow at this point, so should be removed.

Next two days I'm in David Holmgren's workshop here in Seattle...wheeee!
Should be good.

cheers
John S.
