Well, I should modify my statement.

I got great fruit yield from one plant, the one with the most strange misshapen fruit. The next one in the row had almost nothing, and the third had a moderate crop. Last year all three had good yield. I think there was a problem with pollination because of cloudy cool weather, the one bush must have flowered earlier during a few days of better weather. I have two plum trees that have only one fruit between them. The weather was cool and cloudy as they were blooming.

Yr making me jealous Dan. I've got a couple 100 Nankings, most of them 3-4
years old, they all had good flowering but almost no fruit set whatsoever.
All I can think is that they are mostly insect pollinated rather than wind
pollinated since I saw almost no wild bees of any kind here in May.

The problem with the Nanking Cherry fruit which I had in the spring doesn't
seem to have affected the amount of fruit I got this year. A nice crop.
