I might use raw Aromatnaya diced smallish in a fruit salad, maybe a salsa -
but not out of hand as food! I've heard tales that it's tolerable dead ripe,
but I also hear tales of werewolves and aliens, so I'm not taking it on
faith.

Sorry, I should have said. It is an Aromatnaya. You *could* eat it raw, but
you might prefer to eat something else instead. ;) I suppose it is better
raw than other quinces, but still not really a 'dessert' fruit.
