I probably can't help you much with flavor, since it's an even more
subjective term than sweetness. I can say all the blackberries I mentioned
don't have any of a watered down type flavor (if that's what you mean). All
of them are pretty intense. I've never had anyone complain they were bland.

I prefer a sweeter blackberry that doesn't require added sugar. They seem
to taste better when they sugar up themselves. They're also easier to sell.

As was mentioned, there's no comparison between store-bought blackberries
vs. cane ripened.

Thanks for the info, but I wasn't asking about sweetness. If I want
sweetness, I can add sugar. What I want from fruit is flavor, and I haven't
detected much in any of the blackberries I've tried so far.

I enjoy black raspberries, which someone mentioned, since they have a nice
distinctive flavor. We have some wild, and also planted some.
