>From the book "American Wildlife and Plants, A Guide to Wildlife Food Habits" Martin, Zim and Nelson published by Dover Press.  They (striped skunks) feed on adult and larval insects-especially on grasshoppers, grubs, crickets, beetles, and wasps.  Spiders are commonly taken as are toads, frogs, lizards, mice, gophers, and eggs of turtles and birds.  Plant materials ordinarily constitute only a small part of the diet.  Fleshy fruits are the principal plant item taken."
