O fuwafuwa usagi san your insight into location effecting quality and
production would be very helpful to members planning new orchards.
I stubbornly refused to believe that fruit tree merchants could be so
wrong in their descriptions of their products. After years of planting
apples as well as other fruits, and being unintentionly?? mis-led, I now
accept that experience must be gained in planting varieties of fruits in
different localities. If I were writing a Bible of NAFEX, one of the Ten
Commandments would be:" Thou shalt not expect the same results as
produced elsewhere."
Your's is sage advice and will prevent disappointments and wasted time.
We have a relatively short time to experiment with planting unproven
varieties but by our nature--must do so. Hopefully we can add a dab of
knowledge to this great fruit growing adventure. You have done so, my
fluffy rodent.
