In Washington we have two significant special training events each year. The
First is the Annual State SAR Conference hosted by a different county each
year and open to all interested parties from anywhere. www.chelansar.org
This is a week long event in May each year. Instructors from England,
Canada, New Zealand, the US Air Force Survival School provide a wide variety
of specialized trainng.

In October Pierce County SAR Council hosts the University of SAR
http://pc-sar-council.org/U_of_SAR.html also open to all interested parties.
Both events provide training that individual units can not provide on their
own.
