[This is from "BC911" aka Diane Whetsel, who forwarded to
MSAR-Riders an MSWord document. Unfortunately, the document
was *way* over the kilobyte limit for MSAR-Riders. I have
extracted the text for your enjoyment. - Una]

Do you have an Equine Dependency problem?

Do you...
..have more horses than children?
..ride more than three times per week?
..spend more time in the stable than in your home?
..think of cleaning stalls as relaxation?
..smell horses long before you can see them?
..feel the need to own just one more halter, bit, head stall, girth, saddle,
etc?
..rush to the mailbox in eager anticipation of the next Western Horseman?
..consider cowboy boots and hats as all occasion wear?
..own more than two cowboy hats?
..you own more than three pair of western boots?
..prefer spending time with your horses to most people you know?
..find yourself able to pick other horse people out in a crowd?
..work a conversation to mention that you have horses?
..carry photos of your horses in with your children, arranged by age?
..make excuses to visit a store's tack section?
..make special arrangements to be at Buck's Tack Shop's grand opening?
..wash and wax your horse trailer? (inside and out!)
..think of horse sales as social functions?
..spend more at the Vet's office than the Pharmacist?
..you look forward to trimming and shoeing?
..feel rodeos and every other horse activities to be the #1 sport in America?
..call your parents and in-laws as soon as a foal is born, no matter the time?
..use your horses chores as an excuse to leave some places early?
..you complain about the cost of groceries, but not a raise in feed cost?
..think your horses mind better than children?
..decorate your home with old tack?
..pay more for a truck and trailer than your home?
..have difficulty talking with non-horse people?
..notice the horse before the gal or guy with the lead rope?
..use your horse to meet new people?

If you have answered yes to four or more of these questions,
you may have an Equine Dependency.

Contact your nearest Horses Anonymous Support group as soon as possible.

WE can make a difference. WE can get though this.

See you next Tuesday, 7:00 pm. (I'll be in right after chores.)
