Sorry, regulations was probably the wrong term. Perhaps a better one
would have been recommendations or requirements. I wrote NASAR and rec'd
an immediate answer on the issue of MSAR groups. I'll paraphrase since I
don't have permission to repost - No requirements for MSAR at this time
but the need has been recognized and the Education Committee is working
on guidelines that will eventually become an MSAR course. Don't expect
anything publically until 2004.

I noticed that the home site to this list mentions that some SAR
trainings have MSAR components. Can anyone direct me to specific ones? I
checked a few of the links and couldn't find references to mounted
courses anywhere. I don't know about the rest of you but when I went
through SAR training mounted got very little respect and took quite a
lot of ribbing. Not all good natured either. Frustrating because I feel
we are a useful component of many searches. I guess education is the
key.
