Hmmm, that is interesting Pam. I must be losing some to poor germination, maybe from drying soils. I usually use Nelson and sell them at "baby" to  "adolescent" size. Since I pull them so small they don't seem to mind the dense planting.

We use the Earthway for Danvers 126 carrots. We use the "light carrot" plate and do need to thin. That's with just one pass with the light plate. I can hardly imagine two passes with the regular plate!
