I agree, Sean - I think if one saves one's own seed, one finds that the
plants start adapting to the microclimate, and seed saving reflects the
ability to survive in that microclimate.

However, it might be a bit irrelevant if we continue to have climate
change - it is wreaking havoc on the microclimate adaptations.

I agree that high germination standards and freshness are important, but
doesn't the environment of the seeds origin play an important role?
Isn't part of the seeds genetic expression factored by some parental
environmental information? I've always considered seed saved and
produced on the farm to be more vigorous.
