Regards to the list:

I have never grown parsnips from transplants yet, but I had great success
growing carrots and turnips that way. I had read somewhere the way to get
multi-rooted carrots was to transplant them. I first tried it two years
ago, but they turned out normal. The turnips went a little too long before
I got them set out and they had beautiful curly tap roots. Both the carrots
and turnips were very early and very big. I think I'll try parsnips this
year.
