Cilantro makes a good plant for beneficial insects

saved seed (even hybrid have been keeping seed from what was originally Jantar) makes for very nice cilantro plants

You can sell the seed as either the herb/spice coriander or as cilantro seed

You should germinate it for THIS year's cilantro-afterall cilantro is a very quick crop and most parts of the country can do 7 to 10 crops a year.

It over winters well under row cover in SW Ohio. We planted some last October or November, had a cold and very snowy winter and by Late March had these huge (2') cilantro plants that look good and tasted better. It would likely make an excellent hoophouse crop for winter as it can stand cold much better than heat.
