 radish with beetberry and spinach,

Okay, let's talk about growing beetberry.  Seeds of Change keeps sending me seed for it and I haven't had much luck.

Does it germinate well direct sowed?

How does one harvest/eat it after it grows?

How much like lamb's quarters and "tree spinach" (innocuous name for the magenta lamb's quarters such that I still tell the Seed Savers Exchange colleague who passed me the seed that it was a *nasty* trick to foist it off on me) is it?  After 7 years, I still have more than enough of the two above-mentioned reseeding to make sure I never lack for Omega-3s in my lifetime.  While I like the lamb's quarters, I can't get most of my gardeners to eat it and when I was selling mesculn mixes, the customers begged me to take it out! :-(
