Hi, Folks!

Just wondered how other people kept ticks off their working dogs.

I've been using the FrontLine Plus (drops between the shoulderblades) to keep fleas and ticks off Pepper. It's working great for the fleas (ie, no fleas! :-D), but I am pulling ticks off her every day. The manufacturer says that we did apply the product right, but that it won't repel ticks or keep them from biting her -- it will just kill them in 24-48 hours.

Now, I suppose this is better than having the ticks suck her blood and reproduce, but I admit that I'm disappointed that she's still getting bitten (and thus, is at risk for Lyme Disease). What do other folks do to keep ticks off their dogs -- and do you think the Lyme Disease vaccine for dogs is worth it?

Pepper thanks you for the help! :-)
