Personally, I recommend Ritz/Wolf Camera. Not the chain, but one store in particular: the Wolf Camera at Cameron Village in Raleigh.

It'll save you a bundle of time, though it may cost as much as you'd be willing to spend on your own scanner, if you were thinking about buying one of the lower-end models. They charge something on the order of $7.00 for one roll, and $5.00 for each additional roll. But they'll also make sure your negatives are dust-free, and they have higher-end film scanners, including the interchangeable plats for different film sizes and so forth.

The final advantage is that the people who will do the work are pretty competent.

Hope that helps --
