Job Title: ISP Tools Developer - J2EE Path
Job Description: This position supports ongoing automation, design,
implementation, and new product development on a J2EE platform.
Typical tasks include adding new functionality, evaluations of new
tools or software applications, extending existing products, and
assisting in the high level support of customers, and delivering
internal projects from supplied sets of requirements within a
wholesale ISP environment.

The environment is 100% Solaris/Linux
based but requires knowledge of Windows client and server software and
installation processes. The business is centered around the delivery
of traditional ISP services and next generation broadband network
access controls. This will mean creating and evolving both internal
and external web and non-web applications. The developer will also
have to maintain documentation for several functional of the
engineering, customer support, sales/marketing, and billing
teams.

Typical projects will include database and LDAP driven web
applications, database driven reporting, ad-hoc reporting and tuning
for production reporting systems, configuring and running tests for
development systems and services; traditional scripting and "glue"
code to integrate programs to use a common database/directory
information source; interface and management of network hardware in a
telecom or ISP environment; updating documentation.

This position
will not require wearing a pager or being "on call".
