Hi Robert,
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried like this to set the environment
variable export FREETDSCONF=/usr/local/freetds-0.82/freetds.conf:$PATH

and tried to connect with tsql
[root@localhost freetds-0.82]# tsql -H 172.20.182.10 -p 1433 -U cims -P
$ql$wtcintra08 -D cims
locale is "C"
locale charset is "ANSI_X3.4-1968"
Msg 20017, Level 9, State -1, Server OpenClient, Line -1
Unexpected EOF from the server
Msg 20002, Level 9, State -1, Server OpenClient, Line -1
Adaptive Server connection failed
There was a problem connecting to the server
[root@localhost freetds-0.82]#

I faced the adaptive server connection. How to go ahead from this stage?
